Millboard has an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced Showroom Manager to help create and ensure the successful launch of the Millboard London Design Centre. The Showroom Manager will offer support for a number of sales consultants whom will use the facility to conduct CPD’s and client meetings. The candidate must have the ability to inspire the use of and sell a premium quality product to the landscaping market which enhances the built environment endorsing the concept of ‘Live Life Outdoors’.


  • Ensure all enquiries are dealt with in a timely, efficient and courteous manner, upholding the Millboard brand status at all times
  • Make introductory (cold) calls to potential clients, architects and developers; promoting the Millboard Design Centre ensuring optimum use of the new facility
  • Booking in CPD’s and general administration
  • Responsible for maintaining the showroom, displays and image in accordance with Millboard’s brand values
  • Event Management
  • Provide support, advice and guidance to other departments across the business
  • Other duties as assigned

Person Specification

The competencies listed are appropriate to the Showroom Manager and are an illustration of the qualities that the Company requires.

  • Extensive experience handling customers in a B2B environment, there may also be some B2C consultation
  • Experience with selling/dealing with Architects and Designers
  • Knowledge of the Clerkenwell Architectural and Design district would be a key advantage
  • Familiar with the construction process from design consultation, approval, construction and completion
  • Previous experience of working with a premium quality product
  • Good commercial awareness, ideally within the construction market
  • Organised with the ability to plan and multi-task
  • Confident and able to work alone
  • Positive attitude, dynamic, energetic and an outgoing person to connect with the Architect and Design community
  • Customer centric and able to work with clients at all levels
