Production Supervisor (Nights – Sunday to Wednesday)

Salary: £42,000

Location: Ryton on Dunsmore

We now have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Production Supervisor to join our high performing team. Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful candidate is required to ensure that all standards and targets are met; all lines are running efficiently and will be able to implement recovery plans as required to ensure any issues are resolved without having detrimental impacts on overall business performance.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate production targets and KPI’s
  • Manage individual performance against set targets and KPI’s
  • Ensure employee evaluations are effective and completed as required
  • Take full responsibility for workforce and resource planning
  • Manage employee relations and/or performance management issues
  • Lead the full training and development strategy for your team, ensuring you develop a multi – skilled workforce
  • Production efficiency and cost reduction

Full accountability over the following areas, ensuring you look to continuously improve:

  • Waste management
  • Production output
  • Machine availability
  • TPM compliance
  • Ensure total compliance in relation to adherence of quality standards across production cells
  • Cement a culture of continuous improvement across production cells
  • Review, development and implementation of production KPI’s and production processes
  • Review, develop and implement all visual management tools to support compliance in all areas
  • Assist with new product implementation and project management
  • Take a lead production role in all new product introductions, ensuring production are able to support this process on time
  • Project manage tasks effectively as and when required
  • Data analysis and report writing
  • Lead role in daily war room meetings
  • Compile progress reports to the Production Manager on a monthly basis with updates on objective compliance
  • Complete full KPI reviews as required
  • Management of production related concern corrective actions (CCAR’s)
  • Leading Company standards
  • Full responsibility for all production 5’s standards
  • Ensure all employees work within Health and Safety standards as set by the organisation and audited
  • Quality standards must be adhered to at all times and audited

Person Specification

  • Extensive hands on experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Extensive experience within a line management capacity
  • ILM Level 2/3 preferred
  • Green belt six sigma certified preferred
  • Experience of a high volume, fast paced environment
  • Ability to lead and make decisions
  • Ability to support and develop a team to achieve results
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to persuade and influence at all levels
  • Ability to analyse and report data effectively
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills
  • Ability to adapt and respond to change
  • Able to demonstrate ability to achieve objectives and exceed expectations
  • Applicants must have a full UK driving licence

Salary & Additional Information

  • Salary increased to £44,000 on satisfactory completion of probation
