Millboard has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Compliance Support Executive. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring operations and business transactions follow all relevant legal and internal rules. Also to review employees’ work and provide advice on compliance throughout the business.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an effective legal compliance program
  • Oversee and ensure compliance to our NCR process & The Millboard Warranty
  • Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them
  • Draft and revise company policies
  • Partnering with other departments to ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual and business requirements (data security, data privacy, social media, GDPR etc.)
  • Proactively audit processes, practices and documents to identify weaknesses
  • Implementation of process improvements
  • Evaluate business activities (e.g. investments) to assess compliance risk
  • Manage external suppliers providing services in this area
  • Collaborate with external auditors and HR when needed
  • Set plans to manage a crisis or compliance violation
  • Educate and train employees on regulations and industry practices
  • Address employee concerns or questions on legal compliance
  • Keep abreast of internal standards and business goals

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in ‘Complaint’s Resolution’ at a Supervisor/Manager level
  • Construction Industry experience beneficial but not essential
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, 18001 & 27001
  • Knowledge of Cyber Essentials & ITIL beneficial but not essential
  • Experience in risk management
  • Able to assist with routine compliance issues
  • Hands on experience in process development and review
  • Knowledge of legal requirements and controls
  • Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Business acumen
  • Team-orientated and skilled in working within a collaborative environment
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • BSc/BA in law, finance, business administration or a related field
  • Professional certification (e.g. Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) is a plus)
  • Applicants must have a full UK driving licence
